Stationary Baggage is a group exhibition that emerged in response to the stay-at-home orders brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience of being confined to our private living spaces triggered a range of conflicting emotions. Stationary Baggage examines this feeling of paradox through careful juxtaposition of artworks. The contradictory symbols throughout the exhibition imbue sensations of loneliness and inseparability, confusion and clarity, existence and mortality. The beauty of simplicity and déjà vu is also present in the collection of works. The exhibition is an ode to the history of the banal still life, though presented in a range of media and contemporary sensibilities.
