Static & Voids

Static & Voids are mixed-media collages on canvas, created from Artforum International advertisements. Reproductions other artists’ work are dissected, layered and reduced. The resulting compositions balance open voids and static patterns, bleak horizons and tense edges. The works pay homage to Dutch De Stijl and 1960s minimalist painting, while the creative process is influenced by the contemporary sample-based musicians.
